- Women: Know Your Limits
Harry Enfield's finest comedy moment, and a salutary warning for any female wishing to take part in
the Doctor Who fandomany rigorous online debate.
- George Formby sings "Fanlight Fanny"
A much more realistic view of modern womanhood in song, with the bonus sight of Esma Cannon swooning over George's tiny instrument.
- Morecambe and Wise meet André Previn
British viewers will know this for the comedy classic it is, but foreigners are advised to watch, listen and learn from the masters. However, those shorter on time and/or patience might enjoy the equally legendary Breakfast Sketch instead.
- Buck Rogers: Space Chicks A Go-Go
This is the full-on dream-tastic title sequence from the original Buck Rogers TV movie (not the much more prosaic version from the series that followed), and it's a veritable colossus of kitsch: rather like a cross between Pan's People, soft porn and I Lost My Heart To A Starship Trooper. Could you ask for anything more on a Saturday teatime?
- Muppet Viking pigs singing "In The Navy"
No further comment needed, I feel.
Rest assured that while you watch these, I am tirelessly researching great matters of sci-fi import. Or trying to find out what a Zygon's feet look like, which is much the same thing...
