Before I get on to the important televisual shenanigans of the evening, I must tend to day six of the Sharing Is Caring meme and share a quote. Well, since this week I've already mentioned my love of Robertson Davies and his ability to speak great eternal truths that apply to me, I feel he's the man for the job:
"When I was born good fairies clustered round my cradle, showering me with wit, beauty, grace, freedom from dandruff, natural piety and other great gifts, but the Wicked Fairy Carabosse (who had not been invited to the party) crept to my side and screamed "Let him be cursed with Inability To Do Little Jobs Around The House", and so it has always been."
-- Robertson Davies, The Diary of Samuel Marchbanks

But enough frivolity, for tonight marks the return of Serious Telly Business, in the form of the second series of Merlin.

Some thoughts about The Curse of Cornelius Sigan...Collapse )

And later this week, new Heroes. I fear my brain may overload on silliness. Whether this is a good thing or not remains to be seen...

It's the final day of the Sharing Is Caring meme, and I'm supposed to share "whatever tickles my fancy". Well, my fancy isn't feeling very ticklish today, mainly because it knows Monday's coming and it has to go to work tomorrow. Argh, urgh, eek, and other unexcited noises.

Nonetheless, this school-night slump has given me the idea for a quiz about unappealing but historically accurate professions, so here it is:

Poll #1460166 The Career Opportunities Quiz
