Red Scharlach
This week, a work colleague had a glut of plums from the tree in her garden and was giving them away by the bucketload. So I took a couple of handfuls and used them to make a plum and almond crumble slice, from a recipe that can be found over here. It was pretty easy to make and the results were deliciously fruity, nutty and cinnamon-y! A very autumnal sort of cake, in other words.

It’s also the sort of recipe where you could replace the plums with another sort of fruit and it would probably be just as good: I reckon blueberries, cherries or even small pieces of apple would work well.
