The Sunday Six: We are all of us in the gutter, but some of us are clogging the drains

It's another Photo-Six this week, and one that's simultaneously rather adult and extremely childish. Rather like myself, some of you might be thinking. Nevertheless, I feel duty bound to point out that British comedy has a long history of laughing at the double entendre, tittering at bodily functions, and giggling over anything even mildly embarrassing. So please bear in mind that I am merely following in this proud tradition when I bring you...

Six Things That Look A Bit Rude

1. An armrest in a Piccadilly Line tube carriage
All the other tube lines have innocent armrests. It's just the Piccadilly Line that's a bit kinky....

2. A Chinese yam on a stall in Chinatown
This is not two yams side by side – it is in fact a single, Siamese yam! So it's a case of Mother Nature being naughty and not me....

3. A flower outside a hotel in Great Queen Street
Full of the joys of spring and no mistake...

4. A scarf for sale in Covent Garden market
Look at the size of those pompoms, madam...

5. A sculpture in Bury Place, Bloomsbury
Apparently it's by the sculptor Peter Randall-Page.

6. The light pull in my bathroom
As invariably commented upon by anyone who comes to my flat...

* * * * *

May I also apologize to anyone who's tuning in to the Sunday Six this week in the hope of seeing a batch of David Tennant lookalikes. Preliminary research findings were less than promising, and it would appear that there is nothing of comparable quality to be found anywhere. Believe me, I've looked into it. You're all going to have to wait for the return of the real thing next weekend....
